Canadian Adventure...

One truck and trailer, five horses and four girls. Sounds like a road-trip! After two weeks in Pebble Beach, Katie, Brandee, Kathryn and Danielle headed north for two more weeks of showing in British Columbia. In the trailer were Mullentine High Five, La Garanco, ESI General (Jeepers), Dream Catcher (Buddy) and Keeping the Faith.

The Twin Oaks Derby Show in Richmond
With able assistance from Danielle, our three riders each took their turns in the show ring. Kathryn and Faith brought home the first blue ribbon of the tour with a win in an Adult Amateur Jumper Class. Kathryn on Faith, Katie on La Garanco, and Brandee on Jeepers shared fourth place out of thirty-nine entries in the $20,000 Progressiveteam Competition. Brandee and Buddie placed fourth in a 1.3M class, edging our Jeepers by one place. Mullentine and Katie were in the ribbons in the $40,000 Kubota Cup 1.4M, placing a very respectable tenth out of twenty-eight horses.

The Thunderbird WCHR Summer Classic in Langley
Week two was all about the amateurs. Unfortunately, Buddy was plagued by minor ailments on this road trip, competing out of the ribbons at Thunderbird in just one class. Kathryn collected another fourth place ribbon in Adult Amateur Jumpers, plus a win in the $1500 Fault and Out 1.10M class.

All arrived home tired, but smiling, and all looking forward to their next international adventure!
